Steps to
Clean POS
Terminals

The well-being of our customers and employees is a top priority. Wherever needed, we adapt how we operate to keep people safe, while also maintaining the high levels of service our customers expect.

To prevent the spread of disease and maintain a hygienic environment, we encourage our customers to clean and sanitize their POS terminals at regular intervals by following the steps mentioned below:

CLEANING & SANITIZING

CLEANING & SANITIZING

Steps:

  • icon-cleaning1 Turn off your device.
  • icon-cleaning2 Unplug it from power source.
  • icon-cleaning3 Clean it using alcohol-based wipes/swabs.
  • icon-cleaning4 Once completely dry, plug back the terminal and power up.

You can also gently clean your terminals to remove dirt, residue or debris using a lightly water-dampened, clean microfiber cloth. One or two drops of pH-neutral, non-scrubbing soap may be used. Avoid using solvents, harsh detergents, or abrasive cleaners.

Warning

  • icon-cleaning1 Never spray, coat or pour any liquid, sanitizer, or disinfectant directly onto the device.
  • icon-cleaning2 Never use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, thinner, trichloroethylene, or ketone-based solvents – they can deteriorate plastic and rubber.
  • icon-cleaning3 Refrain from vigorously scrubbing and shaking the terminal(s) to prevent triggering a tamper alert.
  • icon-cleaning4 Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): Refrain from vigorously rubbing with a dry towel or similar actions, which can cause ESD and trigger a tamper alert.

We urge you to observe the above measures, exercise extra caution and take the necessary steps to prevent health risks in your establishment.
