Whether you are a card issuing financial institution, a programme manager, a card processor or a merchant acquirer, the compliance roles and responsibilities of the key participants in the payment card value chain are crucial to the sustained success of the cards business.
As a leading payment card issuer, merchant acquirer and end-to-end processor of payment cards, Network International has an extensive understanding of the compliance requirements of the payment cards industry. Network International also continuously invests in tools and technologies to protect client data and their customers throughout the payment transaction cycle.
Network International makes every effort to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to comply with the relevant laws and regulations. This bears testimony to a number of compliance certifications awarded to the company, including:
ISO 27001 is a set of international standards in Information Technology and Information Security, which were drafted in accordance with the rules of the International Organization for Standardization (“ISO”) and the International Electrotechnical Committee (“IEC”).
Network International was certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 27001 standard in 2006 and has successfully maintained its certification.
Network International’s main system applications were subjected to SAS 70 audit since 2011. This audit requires all organizations or service providers which host or process data belonging to their customers to demonstrate adequate controls and safeguards with regards to the security and integrity of that information.
With the retirement of SAS 70 as an auditing standard, Network International adopted ISAE 3402 assurance standard to provide continued assurance on control design and operating effectiveness to its clients.
As part of ensuring security of cardholders data and complying with Data Security Standards of Payment Card Industry, Network International undertook initiatives to comply with the PCI DSS standard and became a PCI DSS certified organisation in 2010. The PCI Standard is mandated by the Card Schemes and administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
